On March 28th and 29th, Cosmeticaforum congress third edition took place at IFEMA, the fairgrounds in Madrid. Celebrated as part of the Farmaforum, aims to establish its foundations as the main forum for the providers working with the cosmetic, perfume, hygiene, and beauty industries.
At Nekicesa Packaging we did not want to miss the date and we set up a collaborative Photocall made out of boxes manufactured at our plant in Griñón. The combination of all of them formed a mosaic with a sustainable design that caught the attendees’ eyes.
This sustainable mosaic was made with HP’s ‘edge printing’ technique, the same one we used to create our stand at CPHI congress, a technique that allows for endless creative ideas.
Purposes in turn for seeds
The participants, both companies and consumers, gathered around the mosaic and wrote a message on a folding carton to create a more responsible and sustainable world.
Most of them conveyed messages about recycling and reducing the use of plastics. Some others encouraged consumers to reuse the products and reduce the consumption of single-dose products. There were also some inspiring quotes and messages to promote caring for our planet. All these notes were part of a bigger picture, a mural under the title “Fit in with the change. Inspire brands of the future“.
As a grateful gesture, every participant got a box with seeds and a compostable flowerpot, to make their sustainable wishes come true and grow. In the end, we immortalized the moment taking a picture of every participant in front of the mural.
The action was very well received by the public. In fact, on our first day, the mural was almost completed with messages, sign that people are really becoming aware of sustainability issues. We want to thank every company and every consumer who shared their goals on our wall to improve people’s life and the planet’s life. Now it is time to make them true.
Responsible luxury: A packaging consistent with CSR
On Friday the 29th, our colleague Laura López – Global by Nekicesa business unit manager – offered a conference about how to create sustainable luxury packaging at the Farmaforum. Packaging, as the last item of communication for a brand, must keep coherence with the values a company practices.
The conference took place on one of the rooms at the venue. If you missed it, you can read the article Laura wrote on this topic for the magazine Cosmetic Industry.
At Nekicesa Packaging, we want to thank your attendance and participation on these forums. We also want to encourage you to keep sending us your ideas to grow and innovate together. We are here to listen to you!
